I managed to leave Irpin an hour before they blocked the last exit for cars and started shooting people. Fortune was on my side. Nevertheless, my grandparents still stays there without gas and electricity. Luckily, they have water and food. They don’t want to leave their house. Also, friends of my family “threw” their dog, so we have the second one in Irpin

I found out that doing something makes me feel better these days, so I try to continue doing my hobby. I’ve crocheted several pairs of gloves, which I gave for free to people who wanted them. It’s funny, but my boyfriend asked to crochet gloves with two separate fingers instead of one. As for me, it looks a bit scary, but it’s really comfortable. Now I’m trying to knit a balaclava, which is quite complicated, but hopefully I’ll make it.

Yara, Ukraine:
My family and I are in a village that’s near the border of Poland. It’s really quiet here. Feels like a different reality.
I mostly spend my days with my family or read the news and books. Feel kind of bad for not doing enough to help the country right now. So, I’m trying to figure out what to do.
Natalia, Kyiv:
