Natalia, Kyiv:
Can we find an explanation why some people take their pets on hands passing the border at the same time, others leave their old parents at home? I do not understand.
Elderly people can make their choice, and they choose to stay at home, ok I agree.
From everything I read today I understand that war opens in us all our deep and unknown qualities, we hardly suspect any of them in peaceful time.
Yaryna, Ukraine:
It seems to me it is often when older people do not want to leave and nothing can convince them to go to another country It is much better if people let the animals out, there are those who close animals at home. On the street, they are more likely to survive.

Margaryta, Ukraine:
I guess not all people who escape somewhere or go abroad have the possibility to take their animals with them.
My grandparents, who stayed in Ukraine, think that everything will be ok and the city where they live will not be bombarded or something else.
Julia, Ukraine:
That’s really disappointing, but I guess lots of people don’t have many possibilities to take their animals with them. My neighbour left me her turtle, so someone can take care of it. I am afraid that if I have to leave my home, I cannot take it with me, because it requires a lot.
Although, I think it is easier to take a cat or dog with you or at least leave them at some shelter and not on the streets.
Sasha, Ukraine:
It’s so painful issue. I can’t read such news without tears. I don’t understand people who leave their old parents and even pets in danger. Of course, I have no rights to condemn them, because our psyche reacts differently in stressful situations, but for me, it is very strange.
Everyone has the right for salvation and life. In my view, if you are responsible for certain people or animals, you must be with them till the end, no matter what happens next.
Li, Ukraine:
In my opinion, this is a huge level of cruelty. I never understand such people, my heart shrinks when I read about abandoned animals in danger. I believe it depends on upbringing as well. We used to think that animals are members of our family, but I understand that there are people for whom animals are toys. They bring animals as toys to their children, for example, and I think it’s the kind of people who throw animals locked in flats in case of trouble, often without even telling neighbours or volunteers about them. They leave their pets to death, and it’s impossible to realize.
How these people continue to live?
Sofa, Mykolaiv:
We have some civilian casualties and enemies are shelling the outskirts of the city, but I live in the centre, so for now everything is fine.
