On the Day of our Victory, firstly, I will hug all the people with whom I keep in touch during the war

Daria, Kropyvnytskiy:

I will gather all my family and friends. I will hug them a million times. I will archive all telegram news channels. Then I’ll come to Kyiv, where all together we will overthrow the valid Minister of Education. Also I believe that we all will meet at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (because we’ve already overcome Covid-19), continue studying English and living our best life!

Natalia, Kyiv:

Hello everyone, I want to know your opinion. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine wants to carry out state certification (ДПА), independent assessment (ЗНО), single entry test (ЄВІ) and single entrance examination in 2022. What do you think of it?

Should we insist on external testing (ЗНО) for schoolchildren? I read that the Minister of Education signed a decree on the refusal of testing, and 5 rectors support him. I think they hope for the return of the corrupt scheme.

Julia, Ukraine:

I’m not sure if this is a good idea to cancel those exams. It is the most reliable way to get in the university on equal conditions. Honestly, I can’t imagine what kind of procedure that will make instead of testing. Also, I don’t trust our Minister of Education and I do not support his current decisions.

Marina, Ukraine:

I guess many students have been preparing for ZNO and for them cancelling it will be a waste of time and money. They can’t keep preparations now, and changing those examinations in something easier may be preferable for them. But I can’t imagine how can they make it fair for everyone. It can lead to increased amount of corruption, so that richer people will get everything, while poorer nothing.

My brother is supposed to have that examinations this year. He’s prepared only to history and he definitely would prefer simply anything but ЗНО. Cancelling it is a great possibility for him and students alike.

Also, I must add that we passed ЗНО in 2020. When world was in a terror of pandemic. Even having extra time to prepare didn’t quite help, as we had more time to be nervous and stressing.

I believe, the fairest thing will be making exams much easier. Lesser amount of tasks. Maths exam should be unnecessary. Something like that.

Lisa, Ukraine:

On the Day of our Victory, firstly, I will hug all the people with whom I keep in touch during the war. Secondly, I will sit in my house for a couple of days because I miss it so much.

I will go to my favourite places in Kyiv, grab some coffee there and go for a long walk with my friends

During the war, I understand that clothes and other different things don’t matter anything. So now I don’t need anything. I just want to come back home and everyone in Ukraine be happy. Nevertheless, I believe that it will be a great idea to buy new swimsuit to our journey to Crimea this summer

Natalia, Kyiv:

You see? The Universe listens to us. No sooner had we talked about ЗНО than Shkarlet declared: External independent assessment in Ukraine has not been cancelled and admission to universities will take place in the usual format.

Impressive are only those arguments that correspond to your own already existing attitudes, your own idea of justice only strong independent people can afford to doubt their own attitudes and ideas
