When you talk to someone privately, how you know this person is worth being trusted. Who can we trust in our conditionals, who is worth being relied on.
Gleb, Ukraine:
I don’t believe anyone until I analyse the main sources of both sides. It is important for me to weigh and analyse oppositional opinions, only after that I can understand where the truth may be. In order to weigh everything, I need to listen to different journalists and political commentators, Official statements of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, read the news of British intelligence, analyse the opinion of opposition political scientists in Russia, as well as those who are part of the regime.
Tatytan, near Lviv:
It is a good idea to watch the news, to talk with parents and to listen to their version of news plus their point of view, exchanging information with your friends from different part of the country and to make appropriate conclusion thanks to information that was remained the most. In my opinion, such information is true.
Polina, Ukraine:
You just need to trust only official sources, as Verkhovna Rada, municipalities of Ukrainian cities/towns (for e.g KMDA for Kyiv), Ministry of Internal Affairs Ukraine, Security Service Ukraine, official Zelensky’s Chanel etc. For more information, I can recommend you to read posts of our governors. For instance, I follow page of Minister of Foreign Affairs to know some information about international moves, Minister of Digital Transformation to know about digital achievements and improvements and Klitchko’s page as he is the Mayor of my native city.
I also follow “Centre for Strategic Communication” and “Ukraine NOW” news sources. Moreover, I know that there are volunteers (I helped them) that translate Ukraine NOW assessments into different languages, so foreigners can also read Ukraine NOW news. Foreign people can also read Verhovna Rada news and follow our President’s account, because posts and news there are translated into English. However, every person should think critically and try to believe only official sources. For more accurate data, you can follow Center Countering Disinformation by NSDC official source, as they post information about different fakes.
Tatyana, Ukraine:
I’m not an expert in such questions, may be because of lack of life experience ((I’m sure) as most students of this group). But I have some methods (it looks like a recipe at moments):
Here we can say a little about psychology. In my opinion, each person should be a little psychologist in order to survive in difficult situations through the life.
It depends on level of acquaintance between people communicating together, their spent time together in the past thanks to which you could pay attention to their attitude to different things, behaviour, at last, overcame difficulties together. If this person care about you , he or she will never deceive and even can support you. Even if he or she doesn’t’ t know all details about situation, so such people will say you about it.
And main feature thanks to which we can decide to trust such people or not—their attitude to situation.
