It is universally acknowledged that England is famous for everything, they are known as people of science, the industrial revolution is theirs as well, English is international due to music and rock&roll, their kings can love and refuse the throne in the name of love. Their education is just the best. And what about us? What are we to be proud of? What do you want Ukraine to be famous and known for?

Spiridonova Zhenia:

I think Ukraine is famous for not material things. I think we are known for our strength, thirst for independence and invincibility.

Marichka Andriushchenko:

I want Ukraine to be famous for brave people. I think no one in the whole world is not that brave as Ukrainians. We are ready to give our life for principles that have a considerable influence on our future generations.

Alisa Sivakova:

I am proud of the Ukrainian language. I am in love with how teachers try to show beautiful and literature language. It’s nice that modern people try to use Ukrainian more often. As for me, learning the Ukrainian language was learning a foreign language, and I liked it a lot. It was very fascinating, and I believe this is something we should be proud of.

Nastya Shvets:

Our language is one of the symbols of our independence.  Especially in wartime, it unites people. Our nation has always been oppressed in the use of its native language. So now it is our pride.

Kristina Novikova:

The wilful spirit of the people. Kind, hard-working people who together can do anything. It’s also Ukrainian outfits and delicious food.

Yulia Volynets:

I am proud of our strong nation. I believe that Ukrainian people are freedom-loving, and they don’t tolerate any violence against themselves. Ukrainians are always ready to fight for their freedom and independence, what they do nowadays.

Oleksiy Bondar:

I want Ukraine to be famous for its industrious power because after the collapse of the USSR, Ukraine received insane industrious base, which should have been normally privatised in order to adopt for market economy, but now our economy is destroyed because we are unable to exist without foreign help, which is extremely shameful for me.

Alina Nazar:

In my opinion, all Ukrainians should be proud of our culture. After all, Ukraine is rich in various customs, traditions, and songs. I believe that every conscious citizen of their country should know about the cultural heritage of their homeland. It is worth spreading it not only in wartime, but always and constantly. We should speak Ukrainian, learn our history, and learn about our ancestors. We must not only enrich our world view, but also take care to spread it to the whole world!

Alina Fitz:

In the midst of war and conflict, it’s essential to focus on what we want Ukraine to be famous for and proud of in the future. Ukrainians can aspire to be known for their resilience, unity, and commitment to peace. We can be proud of our cultural heritage, traditions, and the strength of our people as we work towards a peaceful and prosperous future.

Irina Volohovich:

I would like our culture to be known for a good mentality. Well-behaved people always command respect. I reckon people need to solve their problems, but it is difficult to do it alone. Therefore, it would be great if Ukraine paid attention to psychological health and the problem of sexism. The problems of aggression, violence, and manipulation can be solved with the help of a psychotherapist, and this way people in the country can improve. Our country should be proud of team spirit. The war has shown that the people are really strong and ready to fight for freedom.

Sophia Pochynok:

I think we are already known for our courage, thirst for freedom and independence. The whole world should know the history of Ukraine and what the Ukrainian people have gone through. Good will win. One day, we will become powerful and not need help from other countries.

Liza Poznya:

I would like our country to be known for its progressive youth. Most young people living in Ukraine were brought up at a time when post-Soviet concepts were disappearing, but were still present in everyone’s lives. Having lived through this in their childhood, people know what not to do, what concepts should be abandoned for a normal free life. Therefore, the youth of Ukraine is progressive, free, and knowledgeable. Today’s young people are strong and courageous, they know how to make decisions, set priorities, live for themselves and their development and prosperity, and they know how to be happy. It is important for Ukrainian youth to be smart and educated, their future in their country is important to them, so I believe that our future lies with the youth!
