Today I woke up to the sound of an alarm clock, while people in my country wake up to the sound of air sirens. I actually woke up.

Some Ukrainians didn’t. I took a shower and made myself a cup of coffee, while people from occupied cities find such simple things an unattainable dream. I’m lucky to eat my breakfast listening to music during this and without hurrying.

While people in my country eat very fast in time between missile strikes to the sounds of explosions and air sirens. I’m constantly checking the news on the internet because I’m worried.

Some Ukrainians don’t have even a mobile connection and aren’t able to know whether their friends and relatives are alive. At nights, I fall asleep in a normal bed. Some of Ukrainian people do it in basements and shelters.

I know it is not my fault, but still. I’m Nadia and I feel guilty.
