Alina Silko:
What does 222 day of war mean to me? Only one thing. Power. The power of the country, the power of the spirit, the strength of the nation. We continue to work, get an education, help each other under fire. We continue to live under fire. Isn’t that power? I am sure that our joint STRENGTH will help us get another strength – the strength of VICTORY…
Aliona Plakhotnyk:
Actually, it is scary to realize that the war in Ukraine has been going on for 222 days. Earlier, it seemed to me that we could barely survive 10 days of war. Therefore, for me, this means that Ukrainians are an incredibly strong nation, and we are becoming stronger every day. Because during the war we can study, work, get married, give birth to children, build houses and even smile. And this means that even a long war cannot destroy Ukrainians.
Alina Vatsyk (Mykolayiv Region):
What are 222 days of war to me:
222 days of war – it is to wake up every day to an air raid alert.
222 days of war – explosions are heard almost every day.
222 days of war – is to pray to God that a rocket doesn’t fly into the houses where people live.
222 days of war – take my brother to class and worry about his safety for an hour.
222 days of war – is to stop planning and dreaming, because you cannot be sure of tomorrow.
222 days of war – think every day how to collect all the necessary things, pets and escape in case of danger.
222 days of war – to be afraid of reading news.
Life has changed and is unlikely to be the same.
Marianna Pliekhanova:
For me, it’s about being united as a nation in doing whatever each of us can to make the victory closer.

For me, it means that if we’ve been fighting for that long and winning our territory back, it means that Ukrainian people are truly undefeatable
Sofia Kozlovska:
The war has been going on for many years. However, only after the full-scale invasion, I finally understood that I want to stay in Ukraine and build the future of my country.
Maria Liubashevska:
Deep down in my mind, it still feels like the 24th of February, so the fact that it’s already the 222nd day of the full-scale invasion feels surreal. It serves as the proof of our nation’s bravery and courage, and that inspires me a lot.
Myron Matuzenko:
I think that it is a harsh situation for every single one of us. It is hard to comprehend and it may not be easy to accept. But in my opinion it’s the risk that we must take, it’s the battle that we must win, and ultimately it will make us much stronger than we ever were. The present might be dark, but the future is bright
Ksenia Adamenko:
It means that not everything always goes the way you want, and sometimes life breaks your plans.
Anya Sydiak:
The 222 day of the war means for me that Ukrainian people are very strong, and we will be independent in any cost. I understood that our world isn’t fair and no one really cares about problems of another country.
Veronika Volkova:
While the full scale invasion is going, I understood how much I love my home, Kyiv, and also I’ve come to the conclusion that I have to take more action and stop procrastinating and postpone my life for later
Vyacheslav Krivenko:
For me, this war is the final moment of our nation’s struggle. The final and we must ensure that this is the last such, confrontation with the evil, that we must overcome no matter what.

The war has ruined our life
Ulyana Krychkovska:
It means the understanding that before I’ve been thinking only about what I want and never about what I have.
Nazar Kyrychenko-Shtogren:
This means for me the development and modernization of the Ukrainian nation, because every day of this war we become stronger and because of this if we are moving away from Moscow and its influences.
Yana Soroka:
Life turned into a big lie as you make it seem like everything is normal but it absolutely isn’t.

For me, this war is the final moment of our nation’s struggle. The final and we must insure that this is the last such, confrontation with the evil, that we must overcome no matter what.

As for me personally, this war, from day to day, means the feeling of being very unrepentant and uncertain.
Kseniia Bovkun:
War is dualistic. It affects everyone differently. When someone’s safe at home, other ones are under missile attack.
Regina:
The war lasts 222 days. My life has been on hold for 222 days. During 222 days I am afraid of the sound of aeroplanes. For 222 days, I have kept a great hatred for everything russian. During 222 days, I hope the war will end today.
Nika:
In my opinion, this is the indomitable strength of the Ukrainian people. Each of us fights every day, some at the front, others in the rear, but everyone makes an integral contribution to the victory of our country. If we improve ourselves abroad, it also can develop us and the future of the country.
Vlad:
The war changed my life and changed me. Our people have all changed. Every day, war takes people’s lives. This happens for 222 days. For 222 days, people live in fear. I’m sorry with all of my hearts to people suffering from war. But we are strong. Ukrainians are the strongest nation that will stand and win. I am sure that the war will end soon, and it will end with the victory of Ukraine.
Irrite:
I don’t perceive it as a 222 day of war, for me, it’s still the first. I’m afraid that if I count days, I’ll start to accustom to these terrible events. Now I’m in Kyiv and my town is stable and calm, but then I think about Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol… Citizens continue to hear russian bombs, continue to suffer. All that we can do is to donate, to spread the information, to feel as people in hot spots feel. Our anger should be the same as on the first day.
Nastia Horbach:
I’m utterly convinced that this is the day that brings us closer to victory. This is the day behind which were other days full of pain, losses, joy for the successes of our heroes. This is a day that shows that we are alive and have enough strength to go forward and show everyone how courageous Ukraine is. This is a day that gives me the opportunity to once again show how much I love my country and am proud to be Ukrainian
Lilya:
For me, a protracted war is a sign that the enemy is trying to the last degree to illegally seize the territory of a sovereign state. 222 days of was is both an image of the enemy’s strength and the resilience of Ukrainian troops. I hope that soon these terrible events will end and Ukraine will get well-deserved victory.
Diana:
The war hasn`t stopped. We continue defending ourselves for eight years and 222 days, and we will win because the truth is always winning. It’s hard to realize that in the XXI century we have such a cruel war which destroys the normal life of peaceful people. But we have taken this challenge and have shown the power of the Ukrainian nation we have shown the world that we are not going to give up and we will fight for our future, because if not us, then who?
Anastasiia Andriienko:
The war continues. The Ukrainian army successfully defends our territories, our people, our will, and freedom. I believe that the 222nd day of the war means that Ukrainians are strong-spirited people who defend their borders and go to the end to win. It would seem that in almost 8 months, people could lose faith in victory, but not Ukrainians.
